/worldborder Command Generator
BetaPick the size, centre, damage and warning settings you want. The map shows the border, the safe buffer and the warning zone, and plays a shrinking border.

How it works
Every setting is its own /worldborder command; tick the ones you want and the generator writes them in a sensible order (centre first, then the size). The size is a diameter: worldborder set 1000 makes a border 1000 blocks wide, 500 each way from the centre.
worldborder center 0 0 worldborder set 1000 worldborder damage amount 0.2 worldborder damage buffer 5 worldborder warning distance 5
A border that shrinks over time
Give the size a duration and the border moves at a steady speed — red while it shrinks, green while it grows. Battle-royale maps use this:
worldborder set 50 600s
Seconds or ticks
Up to Java 1.21.10 the time is a plain number of seconds (worldborder set 50 600). From 1.21.11 it is a time value and a bare number counts ticks, so the generator writes 600s. A command copied from an older guide shrinks 20 times faster on 1.21.11+.
Bedrock
Bedrock Edition has no /worldborder command, so this generator is Java only.
FAQ
How do I make a world border shrink?
Use worldborder set with a smaller size and a time, e.g. worldborder set 50 600s on Java 1.21.11+ (worldborder set 50 600 before) shrinks it to 50 blocks over 10 minutes.
Why does my border shrink too fast?
From Java 1.21.11 a bare number is ticks, not seconds: 600 means 30 seconds. Write 600s, or let the generator do it.
Is the size a radius or a diameter?
A diameter. worldborder set 1000 reaches 500 blocks out from the centre in each direction.
How big can the world border be?
Up to 59,999,968 blocks across, which is the default border (the edge of the world at ±29,999,984).
Is there a world border on Bedrock?
Not as a command. Bedrock worlds have no /worldborder; add-ons and some servers fake one with other commands.
