/summon Command Generator
BetaPick a mob and set it up: name tag, cat or wolf variant, sheep colour, slime size, armour, effects, riders, attributes. The preview shows the mob as you go, and the command is written for the version you play. Or describe it and let the AI fill the form.
Describe it — AI writes the command
Type what you want in plain words. The AI fills the form below, so you can see it and change anything. It follows the edition and version you picked.

Riders
Riders sit on your mob, side by side (a boat seats two) — and each rider can carry its own, as many levels up as you like. Every rider has its own options. Spider jockey: a spider with a skeleton rider.
Attributes
Base values, e.g. movement_speed 0.35 (zombie 0.23), attack_damage 10, scale 2 (1.20.5+). The command uses your version’s attribute names.
Facing, motion and tags
Loot and hands
Other NBT
Any entity tag this form has no field for. Pasted commands and raw NBT edits put unknown tags here, so nothing is lost.
Other NBT tags without the { }, e.g. PortalCooldown:100
Written exactly as typed, for the version you pick. A tag the form also sets is left out.

How it works
Java’s mob data has changed a lot over the years, and Bedrock has no mob data in /summon at all. The generator writes the form your version expects:
- Effects: before 1.20.2 they were numbers (
ActiveEffects:[{Id:1,…}]); from 1.20.2 they use names (active_effects:[{id:"minecraft:speed",…}]). - Equipment and saddles: until 1.21.4 mobs held
HandItems, woreArmorItems(feet first), and horses kept aSaddleItemwhile pigs hadSaddle:1b. 1.21.5 put all of it in oneequipmentcompound with asaddleslot, and drop chances moved todrop_chances. - Attributes:
generic.maxHealthbefore 1.16,minecraft:generic.max_healthfrom 1.16, the list became lowercaseattributes:[{id,base}]in 1.21, and 1.21.2 dropped thegeneric.prefix. - Variants: cats used a
CatTypenumber until 1.18 and avariantname from 1.19. Wolf variants arrived in 1.20.5, warm and cold pigs, cows and chickens in 1.21.5. Horses still use oneVariantnumber: colour + 256 × markings. - Names: JSON text in quotes until 1.21.4, SNBT from 1.21.5 (
CustomName:{text:"Bob"}).
Some examples the generator writes:
# charged creeper with a short fuse, Java 26.x
summon minecraft:creeper ~ ~ ~ {powered:1b,Fuse:10s,ExplosionRadius:6b}
# spider jockey
summon minecraft:spider ~ ~ ~ {Passengers:[{id:"minecraft:skeleton"}]}
# zombie with 40 health, Java 1.20.1
summon minecraft:zombie ~ ~ ~ {Health:40f,Attributes:[{Name:"minecraft:generic.max_health",Base:40d}]}
# same zombie, Java 1.21.2 and later
summon minecraft:zombie ~ ~ ~ {Health:40f,attributes:[{id:"minecraft:max_health",base:40d}]}
# the killer bunny
summon minecraft:rabbit ~ ~ ~ {RabbitType:99}Bedrock
Bedrock’s /summon takes a mob, a position, a facing, one spawn event and a name tag — no armour, effects, riders or AI flags. From 1.19.70 the spawn event comes after two rotation numbers (summon zombie ~ ~ ~ 0 0 minecraft:entity_born "Bob").
Some mob options work through the behaviour pack’s spawn events, and the generator picks the event for you: a charged creeper (minecraft:become_charged), wolf variants (minecraft:spawn_wild_ashen and friends, Bedrock 1.20.80+), slime sizes (spawn_small, spawn_medium, spawn_large), frog variants, brown mooshrooms, screaming goats, panda personalities, horse coat colours, gold and white rabbits, a player-built iron golem and villager jobs (villager_v2 with minecraft:become_librarian and so on). Only one event fits in a command, so if you pick two things the generator says which one it left out.
FAQ
How do I summon a mob that doesn't move?
Tick No AI (Java). The mob stands still, doesn't attack and isn't pushed by water. Bedrock has no NoAI option in /summon.
How do I summon a mob with more health?
Set Max health (Java). It writes the max_health attribute in your version's spelling plus a matching Health value so it spawns with full health. 40 is 20 hearts.
How do I summon a charged creeper?
Pick creeper and tick Charged. Java writes powered:1b (you can also change Fuse and the explosion radius); Bedrock uses the minecraft:become_charged spawn event.
How do I make a mob ride another mob?
Open Riders and add one: the first rider sits on your mob, the next on that rider, up to four high. It uses the Passengers list, which is Java only; on Bedrock use /ride with summon_rider.
How do I summon a mob with armour that always drops?
Pick items for the head, chest, legs, feet and hands, then set When it dies to Always. It writes a drop chance of 2.0, which drops the gear undamaged no matter what killed the mob.
How do I summon a baby mob on Bedrock?
Tick Baby: the generator adds the minecraft:entity_born spawn event. Mobs that don't have that event spawn as adults.
